Aramco will participate in CERAWeek 2019, where the company will discuss its technology and research to help address global energy challenges and environmental sustainability.
Ahmad Al-Khowaiter, chief technology officer at Saudi Aramco, will be speaking on a panel about the digital transformation of the energy industry. He will also participate in a workshop on the future of the internal combustion engine, where he will discuss Aramco’s work designing ultra-clean engines that use gasoline compression ignition (GCI) systems.
CERAWeek by IHS Markit runs March 11-15 at the Hilton Americas - Houston. The annual event draws global industry leaders to the city to discuss energy's future, the world economic outlook, energy policy, and technological innovation.
Aramco will also take part in the conference’s technology “carve out” called Innovation Agora, where hundreds of entrepreneurs, technologists, investors, academics, energy company and government officials will convene to discuss the industry’s latest technological developments.
Several of the company’s researchers will be on hand to discuss their work at the company’s exhibit booth at Innovation Agora. Aramco executives and business partners of Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures will also participate in Innovation Agora.
The Agora agenda includes topics from the worlds of artificial intelligence and machine-learning; mobility and transportation demand; digitalization and the transformation of energy businesses; and block chain technology and its impact across the energy system.
